Security Clearance

All NNSA employees are required to have a security clearance. To qualify for a clearance, you must have:

• A relatively clean background
• No felony arrests
• References that can vouch for your positive character

The goal of the security clearance is to ensure you are an upstanding, law-abiding citizen without any factors in your background that may make you susceptible to blackmail or otherwise jeopardize your ability to protect the information to which you’ll be exposed.
